When asked about what Asian investors could do to protect themselves against a weak global economy and rising inflation, she spoke in favor of buying inflation-linked bonds like iBonds issued by the Hong Kong government, and Treasury Inflation-Indexed Securities. To hedge inflation, investing in real estate, which has been a traditional favorite with Asian investors, is also a good option, she said.
